Fred Vasseur didn’t mince words after Ferrari’s disastrous outing in Canada. Both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz failed to finish the race—Leclerc struggling with engine issues and Sainz crashing out late in the Grand Prix.
“It was a massive failure from the whole team,” said Vasseur, who pointed to poor strategy calls and communication breakdowns. Leclerc had called for intermediate tyres earlier, but the team delayed and lost crucial time.
The Montreal weekend dealt a blow to Ferrari’s momentum in the championship battle. Vasseur acknowledged the team must “reset” and learn from these costly mistakes to stay competitive as the season progresses.
